Cardinal Eats
Cardinal Eats Publication is a student-run food magazine. One issue is produced each semester and distributed around campus. The theme of each issue is chosen by the Editor in Chief, and each of the committees works to bring the theme to life. Everyone meets once a week to discuss the recipes, editorial pieces, and photos that will be included in the magazine.
Design Director
As the Design Director, I am in charge of assembling each issue. Throughout the semester, I must communicate with each committee about what they will have in the magazine. Working with my team, we brainstorm ideas for layouts and how to use pictures. I have the freedom to choose any fonts. I create a template for each issue, outlining how titles, paragraphs, and images should be formatted. I work very closely with the Photography committee, even participating in every photoshoot. During my time at Iowa State, I was able to work on seven issues as the Design Director.
